Head Clothing or Headwear consists of caps, hats, and helmets. As of Update 2.0, they are now one of the only clothing pieces that can provide bonuses to your stats when equipped.
Naturally, the bonuses will vary depending on the type of headwear. For example, reinforced metal helmets can give you either bonus armor or bonus melee damage resistance.

Face
Face Clothing or Eyewear consists of glasses, shades, masks, ocusets, BD wreaths, and tech goggles. Like headwear, Face Clothing is one of the only remaining clothing types that still provides stat bonuses.
However, unlike headwear, Face Clothing gives you a different set of bonuses. Depending on the type of equipped eyewear, bonuses can either be faster quickhack upload speeds or increased weapon zoom.

Clothing and Armor Stats
Gives Minimal or No Bonuses as of Patch 2.0
Update 2.0 introduced an Armor and Clothing overhaul that removed the primary Armor Stat from clothing, tying it to Cyberware instead. Now, most clothes are purely cosmetic, allowing players to prioritize fashion without compromising their builds.
Despite most clothing being turned into cosmetics, some types like Head, Face, and Outer Torso clothing pieces will still get minor bonuses. For example, bulletproof vests will offer bonus armor, tactical vests will give you quicker reloads, and Netrunner visors offer faster quickhack upload times.
Clothing and Armor Overhaul
Higher Rarity Clothing Give Higher Bonuses
As you level up, the quality of the clothing you find in Night City will start increasing in rarity. Any bonuses you get from these clothing (such as bonus armor) will also increase depending on the rarity of the clothing. For example, a legendary plated vest will offer more bonus armor than a common one.
Since loot scales with your character level, this new system provides a more natural progression curve compared to the older versions of the game.
Clothing and Armor Mods
No More Clothing Mods as of 2.0
Again, with clothing taking the backseat when it comes to the Armor Stat, clothing mods have been entirely removed from the game. It is no longer possible slot in mods since bonuses from Update 2.0 onwards will be very minor.
Clothing Can No Longer Be Crafted
Additionally, clothing can no longer be crafted in Update 2.0. Since it's now form over function, crafting is now solely restricted for quickhacks, weapon mods, and weapons.
Wardrobe and Transmog Feature
The Wardrobe is a feature that allows you to change clothes; these are available in V's apartments, and as of 2.0, with clothing vendors.
In the wardrobe, you're able to access the Transmog feature, which allows you to make the current clothing you have appear as a different one.
