How to get the Legendary Techie Set in Cyberpunk 2077 (2025)

This is a detailed guide showing you where and how to obtain all parts of the Legendary Techie Armor / Outfit / Clothing Set in Cyberpunk 2077!

This guide is up-to-date for Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.12

Please note that with Update 2.0 CD Projekt RED removed stats and armor from almost all clothing pieces. The images showing the clothes in this guide are from before 2.0. The method of obtaining them has not changed, though!

Clothes, Armor and Outfits Sets in Cyberpunk 2077

The game doesn’t have armor sets with set bonuses like other traditional RPGs have. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s Armor Sets are a great example of how armor sets usually work in such games.

Here in Cyberpunk, you can still get a full set of clothing, but they will each serve their own purpose while at least looking super cool put together as a whole outfit. There are six slots for clothes you can put on your character, but not all sets include items for all six slots:

• Head
• Face
• Outer Torso
• Inner Torso
• Legs
• Feet

Cyberpunk 2077 patch 1.6added theWardrobe feature, which allows you to wear outfits and look the way you want, while still getting the best stats from the (often) ugly clothes you equip in your gear slots.

Feel free to choose whatever item you like for the slots that do not have themed clothing to complete the outfit in your own way. The Legendary and Iconic Items Locations guide is at your service!

Note: I am calling this an “armor set”, but it could be described also as a “clothing set” or just “outfit”. Because the term “armor set” is the most popular one in the RPG genre, I will refer to this set as such from now on. And it does provide the armor stat for your character, of course.

Who are the Techies in the Cyberpunk universe?
The techies are not just the computer technicians of the Cyberpunk universe. Techies are guys and girls who always need to have their hands busy fixing, changing or upgrading something. That’s their life. And the good techies make a lot of money out of their skills and experience. In Cyberpunk2077 techie is not a stand-alone class, but investing points into the Technical Attribute will allow you to develop skills to open locked doors, craft cool and high-quality items and more.

When can you get the Techie Clothing Set in Cyberpunk 2077?
You can get any of these sets before or after you complete the main story line of the game. Each item is available in a different place/spot and some times they are gated behind a job (mission) you need to complete to obtain them, but all of this is described in the “Items Locations” section of the guide below.

When should you get the Techie Clothing Set?
As soon as possible. If you cover the Street Cred requirements for the missions and items to spawn for you, there is no reason to delay obtaining them.

How to get the Techie Armor Set

There is a chance sometimes some items to spawn as Epic, not as Legendary. Usually, that happens to items that are located on the bodies of enemies you have just defeated or in containers and boxes. Items found on bodies of NPCs that you did not defeat yourself, but found them like this, will always spawn as Legendary.

Then comes the trick to get the Legendary item with as many mod slots as possible. This also requires you to make a save before picking up the item and reloading until you get it with max number of slots.

You can get different visual types of clothes based on your gender. This applies mostly to the legs, shoes and inner torso items, but not only. The item will have the same name, but the last word would be different some times based on that what gender your V is. Example: The same location for an item from this set may yield pants for male V, but skirt for female V. This is coded in the game and you cannot change it.

Cushioned Techie Baseball Cap (Head)

Can be looted in a basement under a house in the Badlands at the location provided below. Requires level 20 to wear it.

The entrance is behind the house in a hole in the ground.

The door requires Technical level 5 to open.

The item is inside a metal box with a label Arasaka on it, on a shelf to your left from the entrance.

Laminated Ice-Protected Techie Ocuset (Face)

Found in a metal container in a destroyed cabin out in the open in the Badlands

The Edgewood Farm Fast Travel is close nearby, to the west from the location you need to go to.

The metal container always spawned a Legendary for me, but the rule is that “if it’s in a box, it may not be 100% guaranteed”, so save and reload if needed.

Polycarbonate Nanoweave Techie Harness (Outer Torso)

The outer torso techie set clothing piece has been made available with Cyberpunk 2077 Update 1.6. You can finally complete this set.

The item is hidden inside a storage container in the south end of The Glen in Heywood.

The entrance to the back alley is here:

You need to get inside the vault that is right against the Valentinos graffiti drawing on the opposing wall. On the image below I’ve marked the red light that will be your clue which door to open.

To force open the door, you need Body 6 Attribute. Once inside, open the metal box on the counter to get the Polycarbonate Nanoweave Techie Harness Legendary Outer Torso.

Thermoactive tear-resistant Techie shirt (Inner Torso)

This item is available for free if you to to the marked location on the map and simply loot it from the metal container it is in.

The container is in a garage underground mid-way in a dark and messy tunnel. By the way, there’s a FREE car waiting for you in that same garage. You need to have completed the main story mission “Ghost Town” for this item to spawn.

Reinforced Duolayer Techie Cargo Pants (Legs)

These pants are free to loot from a corpse in an incident on the side of the road with two police cards nearby. The location is near Tama Viewpoint Fast Travel in Rancho Coronado, Santo Domingo.

Cushioned Aramid-Sole Techie Shoes (Feet)

You will find these shoes in a building in Corpo Plaza in City Center. Locked behind a door requiring low level Tech Attribute to open.
