Akim Iscandari Akim Iscandari 5'11" | PG The Potomac School (McLean) | 2026 State VA has gotten more and more attention over the past year and a half. He is coming off an outstanding year for a Potomac School team that is up and coming. He has had a great summer, and If you want to see him against some elite competition, he will be at DMVlive this weekend. Akim is lightning-fast and a pest on defense. Akim is an elite athlete and a talented scorer.

Marcus Hanco*ck is an elite shooter, and the past few times I have watched him, he has grown his offensive game. Marcus is good off the ball, and his ability to shoot quickly from all over the court makes him a great player.

I watched Cole Perez Cole Perez 6'2" | SG Paul VI | 2026 State VA play JV for PVI a few times last year, and in a game against St. John’s, he really caught my eye. He is a great shooter and hit some shots in this game that were not easy. Cole has been terrific for this Team AKT squad this summer, and I think it has been essential for him to get some more exposure. Cole is a plus defender, and with his skill set, I think he will thrive playing with talent.

St. Mary’s Ryken guard Eli Konkler Eli Konkler 6'3" | SG St. Mary's Ryken | 2026 State MD has outstanding potential to be an elite three-and-d guy at the next level. He is a good shooter right now, but I think he makes his marks on games on the defensive end. Eli’s wingspan makes him play taller than his 6’3″ frame, and it helps him guard multiple positions.

St. James Forward Joao Almo has solid two-way potential. He is a solid spot-up shooter and can defend multiple positions. Joao is a player I want to watch more, and I hope to see him play with this AKT team.

School: Bishop Ireton
Elijah Simpkins Elijah Simpkins 6'2" | CG Bishop Ireton | 2027 State VA is a pure scorer. He is smooth and always plays at his own pace. He is an excellent shot-creator and has good size for a sophom*ore PG. He is a good passer and a good defender. Elijah may be a year away from being a huge contributor to Ireton, but he is a player to watch this summer.

Derrick Robinson is one of my favorite players to watch. He is a terrific passer, especially for a guy who plays more of the two-guard position. He does well as a slasher, but again, he does his best work making plays for others. I also love that Derrick is committed and strong on the defensive end.
